STILL More Russians

Another batch of recruits for the Red Army…

(Remember: click on the pictures for a bigger version)

This is a mix of figures from The Assault Group, Battle Honors, and Bolt Action Miniatures.

I have a small batch of West Wind scouts (which were sort of thrown into a lot of stuff I purchased), a Russian soldier waving a flag and a light AT gun and crew still to do and that’s about for foot… I also have a BT-7… oh, and that 76mm field piece…. and THEN I’m done with the Russians… well… for now… (I would like to pick up a few more tanks… at some point!)

Coming soon on Tim’s Miniature Wargaming Blog:

Probably Germans – though I may blast out those last couple Russians…

  2. Tim - How do you churn out so many miniatures?

Would be interested in knowing the basic colour you use for the Soviets as I'm thinking of using the Vallejo English Uniform.

Thanks for the show and tell an a wonderful collection sofar.

  3. Thanks!

Helen - I paint a LOT. Pretty much every day for an hour or two (or three, of four...) after the kids go to sleep.

I use cheap craft paints and the colour I use for the Russians is Folk Art Acrylics "Fawn"

  4. Wow, craft paints??
I've tried using them before but I find the lighter colors/pastels go on so light that I have to repaint the same area over and over. Your stuff looks so good, how do you do it?!?
