It's DBA, so if you can live with the abstract nature of it (which I personally enjoy) it's a quick fun way of playing the period. There's no set scale - insofar as I am aware of - a stand could be a battalion or a company or a brigade!? I'm organizing my forces to be 3 stands = 1 battalion. <br /><br />It kind of breaks down (for me) around the time machine-guns are introduced.
