Loads of 28mm Moderns

I’ve had a pretty productive last week or so. A couple different things arrived on my workbench. I’m trying to keep up with the Moderns – paint ‘em up as they come in to stay on top of things. The last batch arrived today from Mongrel Miniatures. At the rate I’m going I’ll have them done by the end of the week. Well, if I can pick up some new washers tomorrow, as I am out!

Here’s what I’ve finished up in the last couple days…

(Remember: click on the pictures for a bigger version)

First up – a fireteam of Americans from Gripping Beast’s MoFo line.

Finally a command team for my Modern British from The Assault Group. Unfortunately I have two such teams as the TAG stuff available in North America comes in packs of eight (two of each figure). Ah well, the bonus guys waving their arms about can be section commanders.

Also from Gripping Beast MoFo figures. These are from the Falklands/British collection. Most of the figures in this series have separate heads – the options being steel helmets, para berets, marine berets, guards berets, cold weather caps, etc, etc… I ordered Gurkha helmets which also came with Kukri knives!

More figures from The Assault Group - SWAT!

Finally a couple of the new Kiss-Kiss, Bang-Bang figures from Artizan Designs and Copplestone Castings. These particular gents are from Artizan. I love these figures. I thin these three are my favourites in the entire line, that I’ve seen so far. In particular the fellow in the duffle coat (is that what you’d call it? a “duffle coat”?) and the Sterling SMG. I don’t know why, really. It’s just a great figure! These guys may actually come in handy in my Savage Worlds Twilight: 2000 Campaign.

I did play another scenario from The Skirmish Campaigns Screaming Eagles at hamburger Hill, but I just haven't had the time to finish up the Bat Rep. Maybe tomorrow....

  2. uh.. with paint...? and... uh... a brush...?

Seriously though, a couple people have asked me that lately, and it's easier to show than to tell, so I had been thinking I'd do a series of "painting tutorials" with the next batch of figures. I have some brits to work on so I should have a DPM one up in a couple days.
