I only had a few Minifigs Riflemen remaining so I thought I’d best finish them up because then I could say – that unit there… DONE!
(Remember: click on the pictures
for a bigger version):
British Riflemen from Minifigs.
I’m not sure if the figures were
meant to be Riflemen… but that’s what I’m using them as… These are based individually
for skirmish gaming with Song
of Drums and Shakos
Here they are with the rest of
the unit that I painted up four
years ago…. There are a few Wargames
Foundry figures mixed in
with them. I’m seriously tempted to pick up a pack or two of Perry
Miniatures skirmishing Riflemen… but really… WHY?! This is, like,
600+ points worth of riflemen and the game is usually only played with 400
points…
A few more Minifigs
I’ve recently painted – these are based for bigger battle games. I’d previously
painted two other stands (oh,
three years ago) but decided I should have two more - Napoleonic
Wargaming by Neil Thomas requires units with four elements…
Here is the whole unit in
extended line.
Another picture of the whole
unit…
I started looking around and
planning and plotting and trying to figure out what I’d need and how much it
would cost to finish putting together British, French and Prussian forces for
Napoleonic
Wargaming… the realized it’s probably not going to happen this year.
It would mean a couple hundred dollars for each - and
I’ve got Great War stuff I need to get cracking on.
I might break down and buy a
pack or two of this and that for skirmishing with Song
of Drums and Shakos… We shall see…
Coming soon on Tim’s Miniature Wargaming Blog:
Terrain… that last game report
from the campaign…. Maybe some game reports from a new game.
Nicely done with these riflemen!
