PREPARE FOR GLORY!!
A few more Ancient/Mythic Greeks:
(Remember: click on the pictures for a bigger version)
These are Spartans from Crocodile Games Wargods of Olympus line.
Their backs – with thoroughly soiled himation from some serious hard campaigning…
The figures look very much inspired by the graphic novel (or movie) 300.
I’m not sure what the status on Crocodile games is. Doesn’t look like anything new has been posted by them on their webpage or facebook page for nearly a year – which is a bit disconcerting. Too bad they make some neat looking figures.
Another Spartan and his wife. These figures are from Black Tree Design. The woman is from a “Greek Civilians” pack, but isn’t wearing a traditional sleeveless peplos…?
I had to take all these pics indoors as it's been a bit snowy here for the last 24 hours...
Teh truly bizarre thing is that the Environment Canada forcast is calling for +7°C by Friday!?
Coming soon on Tim’s Miniature Wargaming Blog:
I have some more BTD hoplites coming up, along with some Spartan Heroes from Crocodile games... and tonnes (well... Kilograms...) of other odd an sundry items that are polluting my workspace...
Last I heard Crocodiel Games won't make it to Salute in person. But apparantly there will be someone there to sell mini's on their behalf.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking Spartans by the way. Love that new word you taught me too. And here I though I was a walking Thesaurus.
Tim
ReplyDeleteWe missed this storm down in Regina. This winter is random event if ever there was one.
Cheers
PD
A Spartan who soiled his himaton? Never!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful figures
Great painting Tim, looks a tad chilly outside!!!!
ReplyDeleteReally nice Spartans Tim. You can keep the snow up in your end of the world though!
