WW2 - American Casualties and Markers for Five Men at Kursk

I finished up a few American Casualties I'd been trying to get done for the game on Sunday... but didn't.. (I played a game of Five Men at Kursk on Sunday with Orion, but have not yet finished the battle report)

American Casualties from Black Tree Design

I also finished up some Marker for Five Men at Kursk

Condition Markers for Five Men at Kursk - Red for Down, Orange for Scared, Yellow for Nervous. (some look like they might need one more coat!)

They are sized to fit under bases (though this isn't always possible...)

The Red ones (for Down) could either go under the base, or under the figure if one was laying them over  - and then it looks like blood pooling under the figure.

I think I might made some that are brown for Hugging Dirt...?

I'm starting to feel like this WW2 diversion is veering into FULL DISTRACTION territory...

(on the plus side, there isn't a LOT of stuff I'd ever need or what to buy for my WW2 forces... and there isn't even THAT much to PAINT for it - I mean, there is some... but I have WAY MORE painted than I have unpainted...)

They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?

Micominipost padded with multiple pictures of the same thing…

(Remember: click on the pictures for a bigger version):

Wounded Horse/Casualty/Morale Failure Marker – for when I get back to playing Lion Rampant (or possibly Song of Arthur and Merlin…?)

The figure is from Crusader Miniatures

One more.

That’s it for now.

Dead Monks

Remnants from preparation for the Ronin Campaign - I'd meant to get a bunch of casualty figures done for the campaign - for players to leave strewn about the battlefield where their dead had fallen... I have a bunch from The Assault Group and Perry Miniatures... but all I got done was these two monks...

(Remember: click on the pictures for a bigger version):

These are from  The Assault Group.

The one with the orange robe actually has the top of his head sliced cleanly off and for all the crap you can find on the internet I couldn't find a good reference picture of a freshly sliced open brain... Is it grey-ish (as brains are often presented)? Or would it be all red and bloody? (I am actually relieved I wasn't able to find a good reference picture...!). I went with red and bloody...

He also had a longer sword which I clipped off to make it look like it'd broken (so it would fit on the base!)

Later tonight I'll probably post the Hong Kong Police Force for  A Fistful of Kung Fu. Maybe tomorrow I'll post Jack (you can see him now over at the Analogue Hobbies Fortnightly Theme Bonus Round post - it's neat the bottom. While you're there check out some of the other entries - there's some really top notch stuff! I was particularly tickled by "the Dude" and Thrud - and, of course, Curt's own submissions are always nothing short of magnificent!
