Road Warriors

Another one of those “oh… just don’t ask…” things...

John mentioned he’d been thinking about Dark Future… I’d started this a couple months ago… stumbled across a couple other blogs mentioning Dark Future recently… thought I’d just finish this up incase some post-apocalyptic road warfare broke out on some tabletop nearby.

(Remember: click on the pictures for a bigger version)

I have no idea who manufactured the car. I converted it and painted it…

Should have put some bullet holes in it... ah well...

I think the ramming things might have been “over-doing it”… but... whatever…

Coming soon on Tim’s Miniature Wargaming Blog:

Back to... whatever…

  2. Thanks guys!

Scale...? Hard to say with die cast cars. I'd say it's probably 1/72-ish.

  3. Neat work Tim. I'm not sure if you were or are a Mad Max fan, but I certianly am. The first two movies were brillant.

    Great brushwork and conversion.

  5. Most die-cast cars are about 1/64th scale.

Dark Future used this scale for the cars and 20mm figures.

Really nice models and scenery when it was released. Still preferred the Car Wars rules myself.

  6. Nice stuff Tim, what did you use for the mesh on the windows, car body repair kit? If so I will look to use it for bar armour on my 20mm AFVs.

    Cheers,

  7. The mesh is just nylon screen for house windows or doors. I also use it for barbed wire.

  8. NIce stuff; I love how the car paint looks faded. A wash? Or just a dusty colour of paint?

  9. I painted it a light green and then added white to the same green and dry brushed that overtop. I also did a bit of dust colour drybrushing as well...

Great work by the way but you already knew that.
