Another small order from Fenris Workshop arrived Monday.
The Farstriders (because I don't have them... they included all the original cards... and it was $13!?), a Lumineth Realm-Lords Scinari Cathallar (because it was the only miniature I need to finish the Lumineth Realm-Lords Spearhead force) and a bunch of resin rats (to make a MEGA-RAT-SWARM base for when the characters take on Kritza, The Rat Prince in Night Wars... because there is a gigantic rat swarm... or Tide-o-Rats that chases them around much like the Suffocating Gravetide did in the first campaign)
Not even opened... Not that any of those cards are of any use in second edition. I haven't ENTIRELY given up on the idea of playing Warhammer Underworlds again, I guess...

To be fair $13 is less than you would pay for a single character commonly available from a Spearhead or whatever... so the guy with the bird alone makes it worth it!

is the Cathaller partly painted? Truly a beautiful model, but I bet a lot of people give up on them.
Right!? I could not believe they were selling the warband, brand new, in box, with original cards sealed in plastic for $13!?
DeleteThe Cathaller was primed and some green sloshed on it. It seemed thin enough, so I just overpainted it with a watered down coat of black (after putting some sand and pebbles on the base) and will go from there. it is a complicated model to paint because of the see-through cloth covering the face... I'm not super looking forward to it and have spent way too much time staring at painted examples and thinking about HOW I'm going to paint that... (especially for a 'secondary' army that I probably won't play much!? It's the leader, though... So I should probably put a BIT of work into it!)
Well, at least it was thin paint and not some daubed on thick enamel or something!
DeleteAre there many Underworlds warbands you DON'T have? Seems like almost all of them by now...
Of the First Edition Warbands... I think there are only four that I don't have... (The Eyes of the Nine, Godsworn Hunt, Gryselle’s Arenai, and Daggok's Stab-Ladz...?)

I don't have ANY of the Second Edition Warbands beyond the two that came in Embergard - neither of which I have finished painting (though the Emberwatch is very close to completion... like hundreds of other units and warbands...)
