Zombies and Amazons

Progress slowed on the painting front earlier in the week as I got busy with other things (which will probably be a recurring theme this spring) but last night Amanda and I stayed up way to late watching a couple episodes of Buffy the Vampire slayer and I got some more zombies finished. I’m making a push to finish up zombies because, after this lot, I think I have only 15 or 16 left to do (out of 120+).

The Amazons I painted last weekend, but didn’t get the basing finished until this weekend.

(Remember: click on the pictures for a bigger version):

Zombies! There are zombies from Mega Miniatures, Cold War Miniatures, and West Wind Productions

An element of Bow for my HoTT/DBA Amazon Army – figures are from Wargames Foundry . I have a half dozen elements of spear, and a couple Cavalry and Light Horse (or Riders) and a Knight General (chariot) to finish up.

I’d like to get some more HOTT gaming in.

So much to do, so little time.

Coming soon on Tim’s Miniature Wargaming Blog:

Hopefully the rest of the zombies!

  1. Fantastic painting as always, Tim. Love the variety of colors on the zombies; the Amazons look great too. Best, Dean

  2. Those Zombies are quite a show again! I realy admire your stamina in painting up those hordes.
The amazons really turned out lovely, too.

    1. Cheers! Yes, sometimes it's a nice change of pace to paint up units of guys that are all dressed differently - but it wears pretty thin pretty quickly and I'd like to paint a few units that are all in uniforms...

  3. The Amazons look great - simple and effective en masse. The zmobies look suitably bloody and scary - 120 of them all finished will be a sight to see!

    1. Thanks. I'm having trouble getting motivated to paint the last bunch for some reason... some it's because they're in sports uniforms and I feel I need to actually look up proper colours and paint them "correctly"... I know... it's a bit AR...
