September Games

Here are the games we got up to in September of 2025...

Wednesday, 4 September 2025

After a bit of a hiatus, we finally returned to our Warhammer Quest: Cursed City campaign - beginning Night Wars! The campaign involves destabilizing and destroying the power base of three Vampire Lords that took over when Radukar the Wolf was defeated! The group decided to go after Lady Annika the Thirsting Blade first and played through a Purge Journey... you can read all about it (and see all the other pictures) here:

Warhammer Quest: Cursed City - The Night Wars Begin! 

The game went rather late as Amanda is taking a singing lesson on Wednesday and does not get home until 7:30... so we decided the following week we should move it to Tuesdays, as there was no longer a role-playing game on those evenings... 

Tuesday, 16 September 2025

After missing a week (because Amanda was doing... something...?) we finally got back to playing on the 16th. We played through a second Purge Journey - with the proper rules this time, and Radukar the Beast and the Fell Bats were now painted and available... though only the Fell Bats showed up!

Despite changing to Tuesday, so we could start earlier than Wednesdays when Amanda has a singing lesson, we started late again because Amanda STILL didn't make it home until 7:30 because she stayed late a work!?

The following evening I convinced Amanda to play another game of Spearhead. I realized two weeks had passed since our last game and thought maybe we should get one in before she completely forgot ALL the rules... She HAD forgotten a lot... but also remembered a lot. Enough to solidly crush me 25-16!?

Friday Orion came by for the afternoon and played a couple of games of Age of Sigmar Spearhead...

Finally, on Tuesday, we got in one more game of Warhammer Quest:Cursed City ) Night Wars - this was another Purge Journey! Being the third successful Purge Journey, the group is ready for it's first Decapitation Journey of the Night Wars campaign. Their next game will be their first attempt to take down one of the new Vampire Lords that rose up to seize power after Radukar the Wolf was deposed!

And then we were off on a vacation to Vancouver (Amanda, Morgan and Myself) and won't be back until shortly after this post goes live (like, later in the morning on the first).  If we happened to play any games in Vancouver, They'll have to be in a separate post after I get back later today...
