I FINALLY got cracking on some stuff for the Dark Ages DBA Campaign Weekend coming up in February! Some Normans!
(Remember: click on the pictures for a bigger version)
Three stands of Spear – to join the one I already have… (I only need two… Guess I have enough for whenever I decide I need a second Norman/West Frank Army). The figures are mostly from Old Glory, with a few from Gripping Beast tucked in here and there…
This will be the Knight General, perhaps Duc Guillaume le Bâtard himself. For a “Knight” stand, they don’t look all that damn… impetuous… Knights should be charging at a full gallop… Ah, well… The two mounted figures are from Crusader Miniatures, and the foot are from Gripping Beast.
A single Saxon – another figure from Crusader miniatures.
I got it in my head that I should make some “casualty markers” to show where stands were destroyed when I’m taking pictures for a battle report.
The two Grim Reaper types are from Games Workshop. One I’ve had a while, the other recently acquired – both freshly repainted. The others are from Old Glory, the one standing has been repainted, the prone ones simply rebased…
Wish I had some more dead and dying horsemen…
Coming soon on Tim’s Miniature Wargaming Blog:

Love that Saxon fig. I call dibs on it if I roll another Savage Worlds fantasy character!
ReplyDeleteYou'd actually have to show up at a Savage Worlds game for that...
ReplyDeleteThe shield on the norman flag bearer is spectacular!
