In addition to a Gutter Runner and a Pile of Daemonettes, I also finally finished up this Knight-Questor.
This Knight Questor model actually comes from one of Finnegan's Warhammer Quest boxes (Silver Tower or Shadows Over Hammerhal). I've painted him as a Hammer of Sigmar as two of the other units he'll be used with, initially, are unique, named units that HAVE to be from the Hammers of Sigmar.
Not sure what his name is yet. I'll let Finnegan figure that out.
Backside, showing some of the details of the cape and shield.
With the Knight-Questor finished, we have enough to field a Vanguard force for a Paths to Glory campaign! It will look like this:
- Knight-Questor (110) - General
- Averon Stormsire (280)
- 3 x Steelheart's Champions (110)
- 2 x Stormsire's Cursebreakers (0 - taken with Averon Stormsire)
- 3 x Castigators (75)
- TOTAL: 575
Most of these are Warhammer Underworlds Warbands - but there are Age of Sigmar stats available for ALL the Underworlds warbands and they can be included in their respective armies - though they count as "unique" units and have to be from specific sub-factions and I don't think they can gain reknown and be improved...?
This is going to be Finnegan's starting force for our Paths to Glory campaign. The story will revolve around a small section of the Mortal Realms, possibly in Ulgu, that is mostly dominated by a number of Chaos Daemons and Warlords. Might be an island...? Or a large peninsular off a much larger continent...? A small temple of Daughters of Khaine holds a tiny outpost in the land and has requested aid from the God-King Sigmar In clearing out the land (why waste Daughters of Khaine, when the Lightning Warriors can spill their own blood to clear the area). More on that soon!
I do have one more group that could be added - Ironsoul's Condemnors... Unfortunately, unlike all the other Warhammer Underworlds warbands, they DON'T have a specific, unique unit warscroll, the warscroll linked to them is just the regular Stormcast Eternals Sequitors warscroll... making them and UNDERSTRENGTH unit of Sequitors... which is kind of lame. Ah, well...
Finnegan also has a Lord-Castellant, also from a Warhammer Quest - which could be painted up and added for another 130 points...
I also have a number units of figures that could be passed off as "Cities of Sigmar" forces - that often sweep in on the wake of the Stormcast Eternals advance, to secure and hold the lands they have purged of the taint of chaos - and could be added to this force when needed.
