The figures for the battalion, as with the
recently finished 1st battalion and all of the 1st Brigade are all
from Wargames Foundry
(Remember: click on the pictures
for a bigger version):
2nd (Eastern Ontario) Battalion,
Canadian Expeditionary Force.
The formation patch for the 2nd
Battalion was a green semicircle surmounting a red patch – the red patch was
for the 1st Division, the semicircle was for the second battalion within the
brigade and the green was the senior brigade within the division.
Coming soon on Tim’s Miniature Wargaming Blog:
3rd (Toronto) Battalion, CEF?
Let’s hope so!!
A tribute to Sam Hughes no doubt that these new battalions that are being rushed to the front look as good as any we've seen. Or well he would doubtless have taken credit anyway.
ReplyDeleteSam Hughes indeed!
DeleteThanks, Ross!
Crikey! You are mustering troops for the front at a rapid clip!
ReplyDeleteYes... I have a LOT yet to do before April!
DeleteNice sculpts and really good painting, are you dreaming in khaki at the moment?
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Ha! No, not just yet. My friend John has often chidded that when I get tired of painting khaki he's got a whole load of napoleonics I could paint - just to paint some colour!
