I feel like it's been a while since I actually posted any new painted miniatures...
(I checked, it has, in fact, been TWO WEEKS since I posted the Vengeful Skullroot and Gladewyrm and the Great Unclean One!? Yikes... that does not bode well for me being back in the black by year end... especially considering I'll be picking up another 44 miniatures when Warhammer Quest: Darkwater is released in ONE WEEK!)
I've been really dragging my feet on these flying tree-peoples. I couldn't sort out how to do the wings and ended up doing five different "test colours" on the five different models and ultimately decided just to keep them all rather than repaint four of them to match one that I liked... if ever I could decide on one that I liked...
Gossamid Archers
These are really fun little miniatures. The wings are not integral to the tree-spirit...
They are the wings of a giant dragonfly-like bug that is grasping their back!?
This small addition to the Age of Sigmar Sylvaneth forces nicely finishes up 980 points worth of stuff - a good starting Path to Glory force... mind you... Amanda and I have already STARTED playing a Path to Glory campaign, we've just been playing with less than the full 1000 points available to our forces.
1000 point Path to Glory Force (including free faction terrain and some endless spells)
(Technically the force can only start with ONE Endless spell... but another can easily be added through a quest, so...)
I've been wanting to finish these up so we can try playing a game with a full 1000 point force. Part of the reason I've been dragging my feet on these was there was no immediate plan for such a game. While I've gotten in a number of games over the past few weeks with other people. But the little time Amanda and I had for each other has been used... doing other things (mostly working on a routine for a Burlesque variety show TONIGHT!!!). Hopefully with that out of the way, and the Gossamid Archers painted, we'll be able to find some time for a game!!
Of course since I bought this, I've bought FAR MORE Sylvaneth.... another 980 points worth, to be precise! It will be a little bit before I get all of those finished. But the plan is to get assembling those and the rest of the Shudderblight Cyst Battleforce over the next week so they are ready for painting whenever I find the time!
