As I was planning on getting in some games of Spearhead over the rest of the summer, I picked up the new setting for the game last week- Spearhead: Sand & Bone. Unlike the previous set (Spearhead: Fire & Jade) which Aqshy (Realm of Fire) on one side and Ghyran (Realm of life) on the other, both sides of this board are supposed to represent different areas of Shyish, the Realm of Death.
Oh, I could totally still play with the Fire & Jade set... but, y'know, NEW STUFF!
Terrain Bits for Spearhead: Sand and Bone.
Terrain bits on the Ossia side of the new board! The Crypt of blood is only used in games where the angled deployment map is used.
Terrain bits on the Dolorum side of the new board! The Icon of Nulhamia only shows up as a twist on the Dolorum board. If using angled deployment on the Dolorum side, both the Crypt of Blood AND the Icon of Nulhamia could be on the table.
If you have a unit within 6" of the Crypt of Blood or the Icon of Nulhamia during a particular phase of the turn, there are special actions you can take.
(weird how different the colour of the table looks in all three pictures!?)
Next I'm hoping to finish up the Blades of Khorne Skullreapers. I don't have an IMMEDIATE use for them, but they're SO CLOSE to being finished...
After that I'll probably focus on getting the Claws of Karanak done...
Radukar the Beast and the Fell bats are also in the queue... but as I don't need them for a few weeks, I might just try to finish up some Stormcast Eternals or Daughters of Khaine - or even the Soulblight Gravelords! - to get those Spearhead Armies finished up!
(although... having recently finished up the Curseling, there's a part of me that wants to clear everything away and paint up ALL THE TZEENTCH STUFF... or at least enough for the Spearhead army!?)
Terrain looking great!!
