Another game from back in June when we were trying to get everyone to Level Four to finish off Radukar the Wulf. As the Influence Level was still higher than Fear, we played another Hunt Journey!
Finnegan was playing Brutogg Corpse-Eater and Dagnai Holdenstock. Amanda played Qulathis the Exile and Glaurio ven Alten III. (As ever, I was the Game Master, controlling all the hostiles and keeping the game moving!)
There were a LOT of larger groups in the Hunting Grounds this evening!
A few of them went first and pinned the heroes in the Landing Zone!
There had been a brief discussion as to whether Glaurio should try to Gambit and slid into first position... but it was generally decided that they should leave the initiative track as is, and just "let them come to us!"
Brutogg wasn't doing much good in the back of the Landing Zone, so he pushed out grab some bats to chew on! But before that, he single-handedly smashed all the Ulfenwatch that were lurking behind the swarm of bats! (well.. he smashed 2/3 of them and the rest fled when they activated next!)
A pair of Vyrkos Blood-Born vampires arrived... Dagnai chopped on down.
Brutogg dealt with the other...
[rats scuttling]
"Oh, Fine! I'll finish them off!" Glaurio said and barged out of the Landing Zone to finish off the last few rats...

[crickets chirruping]
"Well... now what" said Glaurio.
"We wait" Grumbled Brutogg, "they will come..."
"Hang on," cried Dagnai, "I SMELL BACON!"
and he tore off down and alley to assault a patrol of the Ulfenwatch that was approaching!
Radukar just burst in out of nowhere and attacked Brutogg...
"You'd have made a fine Kosargi.." hissed the Vampire Lord.
"You gonna make a good rug" grumbled Brutogg!
Dagnai and Glaurio rushed to Brutogg's aid and the three took down The Wolf-King!
Which was the last champion they needed to successfully complete the Journey!
meanwhile Qulathis was holding off some approaching zombies...
Glaurio headed for the Extraction Point. Brutogg tried to catch his breath and recover a moment. But Dagnai went off in search of treasure... "I mean, it's just laying there waiting to be taken," he was heard to mutter.
All the others made their way to the Extraction Point.
Dagnai soon found himself in a spot of bother when he was surrounded by a swarm of bats!
Things took a turn for the worse when two Kosargi Nightguard came lumbering up out of nowhere?! They'd probably been escorting Radukar, but had fallen behind!
It was at that time Dagnai FINALLY decided it was time to make good his escape, sod the treasure!
He DID get away from the undead Ogor and the bats AND the Vyrkos Blood-Born vampire that arrived next!
And now that the Influence has been dropped down, it will be time for another Deliverance Journey to bring the Fear Level down.
Also the Exraction Event awarded the heroes an inspiration point to start the next Journey with!
